Welcome to the Real Wealth Report. Most investment websites attempt to flatter you with magnificent returns that will appeal to your greed. In an environment where headlines of financial institutions going bankrupt and Federal Government’s printing oceans of fiat currency are common place, the old adage from Will Rogers must be heeded: “Return OF Capital is More Important than Return on Capital.”

Throughout history there has always been a group of calm and wise thinking independent individuals who are able to discern the times, separate hype from fundamentals and position in front of long-term secular trends. This site is designed to help make you one of those individuals.

With a  subscription  to The Real Wealth Report, you will gain access to customized model portfolios that are designed to generate current income, income growth, and low-risk capital appreciation to

(1) pay your current and future expenses and

(2) strengthen your financial security. Each portfolio is based upon your individual risk tolerance and return expectations. So, whether you are a recent retiree or someone who simply wants to learn how to build a safe, reliable fixed income portfolio without taking the unnecessary risks in today’s market, you can learn how.

Note: The Real Wealth Report is objective and not biased to any particular company, security or ideology and remains flexible to cyclical market adjustments within longer secular trends. The Real Wealth Report does not receive compensation from any security it may recommend.

For the price of $24.95 per month or  $195 per year (12 issues) you can subscribe   to The Real Wealth Report and gain access to our custom portfolios. WHO AM I?

My interest in markets was first inspired by a college internship I entered my senior year in college. Michael O'SullivanFollowing graduation, I worked as a trader for 10 years under various Wall Street firms, including Morgan Stanley from 1995-2000. During this time, I was able to observe first-hand how markets begin, build and ultimately burst. I discovered the true meaning of fear and greed as I witnessed clients chase stocks into the stratosphere, without knowing as much as the ticker symbol and then suddenly watch them fall twice as fast. It was also during this time, I was able to meet and learn from some of the best in the investment business. You could say that once I got the “bug’ I was hooked.

From 2000-2004 I served as ‘Manager of Investment Services’ for CBIZ Retirement Consulting, where I was in charge of investment selection and oversight for $1 Billion in pension assets. I was responsible for asset allocation models and meeting interest rate assumptions during some of the most volatile post markets. I learned the true value of risk mitigation in portfolio construction from the outset versus reacting with the majority. This is one of the most important aspects you have to consider when building a portfolio. While returns are important, you have to know how to avoid unnecessary downside risk.

After learning the value of being in the right place at the right time, I took up positions with various mortgage banking firms (2004-2007). Once again, this experience taught the true nature of timing and the danger when we stay in any primary trend too long. Sometimes a picture is better than words. Here we can see the effects of the last 2 major bubbles in technology stocks and real estate.

Technology and housing bubbles created trillions in fictitious value that must be dissipate

Aside from managing $500 million in pension assets in private practice, I spend the majority of my time today helping investors of all ages prepare for retirement. I specialize in helping individual investors design portfolios with the objective of capital preservation and real income. Most investors and retirees who have saved a lifetime are faced with the task of generating income to cover their living expenses. People are living longer today so there are several things that go into our models. I strive to do this and strengthen their financial position and peace of mind so they can enjoy their retirement. Ideally, I can provide each subscriber to The Real Wealth Report with the same level of trusted invested advice they receive from their broker for a fraction of the cost.

My newsletter, The Real Wealth Report, provides specific portfolios with this aim in mind. So, whether you are looking to preserve your wealth or generate a passive income stream to live on, I can help.
